I found the best solution this summer at www.hosesnap.com this summer. I purchased an 8-pack and an automatic watering timer with my gardening hose. I set it up and went out of town for 4 weeks. When I returned by lawn and garden was lush. I pulled up the hose and cut the grass and there was no evidence the garden hose was on the lawn or should I say above the lawn for 4 weeks. I love it!

J.R. - You should use Nutri-20 once a year in late May or early June when the grass is actively growing. Don't wait until late summer/fall or you may interfere with the grasses natural dormancy process. As for shipping plugs, it depends on where in the country you live. Here is a map of our shipping schedules around the country.

Donna - That should be ok. As long as the soil is able to dry before nightfall, then you should be ok. If there hasn't been any rainfall, you're right to do a little extra watering. If your Zoysia isn't looking better in a few weeks, let us know and we'll go from there!

Our lawn was doing fine until it was mowed this past Thursday. The sections that do not get shade have turned brown. We have had no rain for a couple of weeks and the temps have been in the mid-90's. We started out by hand watering these brown areas. Now we have started to use our irrigation system (watering once a day in these areas)in hopes this will reduce the brown areas. Are we watering too much?
